Spring Break: Experiencing Japanese Culture Course

What are you doing for your Spring Break? Ever wanted to learn more about Japanese culture, society, art, history, food or anime and then get to travel to Japan to experience it for yourself?  You’re in luck!

HPU’s Spring 2017 course entitled ARTH3811: Experiencing Japanese Culture is spending  Spring Break in Kyoto and Tokyo!

This trip is sponsored in part by the SAFAC committee. With an estimated value of $2600 per student, SAFAC made it possible to reduce the cost of the field trip to ~$1800* per student

*Includes:  Roundtrip Airfare [HNL to KIX], Accommodations, Breakfast, Lunch, Excursions/Activities, Guest Lectures, International Health Insurance, Tele-communications
*Does NOT include: tuition, alcohol, personal shopping, hospital visit co-pays, personal phone/internet

Application Process
·   Receive Faculty Led Study Abroad Application from Dr. Kameda-Madar
·   By Nov 4, 2016, turn in a complete application
o    Part I: Biographical Info, Emergency Contact
o    Part II: Needs disclosure, Essay, Signature
o    Clear copy of valid passport
o    Medical Form
o    Scholarship Application (additional essay + finaid assessment form)
o    If below a 3.0 GPA, petition
o    If 1st semester at HPU, contact mmatsubara@hpu.edu
