HPU ‘ohana participates in Start Steppin’ event

Thanks to Missy Correia, HR Benefits and Leave Manager and member of the Staff Council’s Personal and Professional Development Committee, 18 members of the HPU ‘ohana took a step in the right direction during Kaiser Permanente’s 12th Annual Start Steppin’ event on Friday, August 5. The HPU team joined over 800 members of the Downtown business community, touring a health fair in Tamarind Park and completing a brisk walk several times around the block to receive a pedometer and other gifts, as well as lunch.

“This was a great reminder that even a quick walk at lunchtime can have a positive impact on your health,” said Maile Lee, Staff Council Chair.

If you missed this event, there’s always next year. In the meantime, don’t forget to step outside once in a while.
