Celebrate HPU’s 50th Anniversary
·          HPU’s 50th Birthday Cake Cutting: Join Student Government Association on Tuesday, Sept. 15, Hawaii Loa campus, 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m.; Campus Activities Board on Thursday, Sept. 17, Aloha Tower Marketplace, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Libraries/Learning Commons hours
Fall 2015 hours of operation for Atherton Library (Hawaii Loa campus), Meader Library (Downtown) and the Learning Commons at Aloha Tower Marketplace here. Access to 24/7 Chat Reference here.   
Library orientations: Sept. 14-17
These sessions will cover basic uses of the Library’s resources and services. While directed at incoming undergraduate students, all library users are welcome to attend. Deadlines: Student Activity Funds request
The Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee will accept requests for Student Activity Fee funds according to the following deadlines. Requests must be submitted to the Dean of Students Office (MP 105) by 5 p.m. on these dates, or you may submit the form by email to safac@hpu.edu. More information and form here. Questions? Club Carnival
Registered Student Organizations will be out in force at Aloha Tower Marketplace, Friday, Sept. 11, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., looking to share their mission and recruit new members. Athletics, Campus Activities Board, Student Government Association, Honor Societies, the HPU Bookstore, many HPU departments and programs will also be there. Start a Club! Applications for 2015-16 available
Applications for new Registered Student Organizations are being accepted through Sept. 21, 2015. Application packets are available online and in the Student Life office, Aloha Tower Suite 1400. Submit completed application packet in person to the Student Life office or email to leadership@hpu.edu. Clubs accepted for registration will be active as of Oct. 1.
Undergraduate Advising updates
If you are majoring in programs within the College of Liberal Arts (formerly College of Humanities and Social Sciences), College of Business or College of Health and Society (formerly College of Nursing and Health Sciences), there may be changes to who your advisor will be for the fall 2015 semester. Updated campus security numbers
If you have programmed security numbers in your phone, please be sure you have the current numbers for HPU’s current security, Star Protection Agency, here (contact list, right side of page).

Emergency text messaging
For emergency communication to students, faculty and staff, HPU utilizes the RAVE Alert text messaging service. Please ensure that you are registered, or update your mobile number here. Note: Registrants must opt out if they leave the HPU community and want to disable the messaging.     

Student parking & shuttle schedule
Hawaii Loa:
Parking decals for vehicles and motorcycles or mopeds and a 10-day parking discount punch card available for purchase at the Bookstore. 
Aloha Tower:
Motorcycle or moped parking decals for Irwin Park available for purchase at the Bookstore. There is a secured area under the Aloha Tower Campus Eva Pavilion for about 20 mopeds; there is a parking fee for this area in addition to the cost of the parking decal.

Federal Work Study (FWS) jobs
The Advising office has two FWS Customer Service Assistant positions available. Responsibilities include answering calls and providing responses to inquiries, assisting student-walk-ins and visitors, and scheduling of appointments. Call Karen at 808-544-1198 to inquire.
