Welcoming new students to the HPU ‘ohana

Aloha to HPU’s new students and their families who joined the university’s 'ohana last week. The week began with students moving into the new Waterfront Lofts and Hawaii Loa residence halls.

New Student Orientation followed Tuesday, which included the traditional candle lighting ceremony at Aloha Tower Marketplace, signifying the beginning of the journey at HPU. Students attended other orientation events during the week, as well.

Faculty and staff welcomed new students and their families at the University Convocation, Wednesday, Aug. 26, celebrating HPU's distinct educational experience, at the historic Hawaii Theatre. University and student leadership encouraged the new Sharks to embrace learning while experiencing Hawai‘i's diversity and culture.
