Winners of the 2016 HPU Short Script Contest Announced

BEST ORIGINAL SCRIPTS
   First Place: Hannah Smith, "The Good, The Bad, and the Mundane" 
   Second Place:  Dustin Connis, "Cigarette Blow Dart Man"
   *Third place - None awarded

BEST ADAPTED SCRIPTS
   First place: Dustin Connis, "Repent Harlequin" (based on Harlan Ellison's "Repent Harlequin! Said the Ticktockman")
  Second place: Hannah Smith, "Obsolete" (based on the story by Chuck Palahniuk)
  *Third place: Liam Reddy, "I'll Be You" (based on the story by Daniel Cleary)
  *Third place: Meghan Vincent, "Red Plague's Masquerade" (based on Edgar A. Poe's "Masque of the Red Death") 

HONORABLE MENTION:
   Brianna Ferguson, "Letting Go" (Based on the story by Anne Brown)

*Instead of awarding a third place in the original script category, the judges decided to award two adapted scripts in the adapted category, each earning a full third place cash award.
