Pierre Asselin, Ph.D., attended a conference
at Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanites. It focused
on the state of archives on modern Vietnamese History in Vietnam. Asselin’s
presentation addressed the state of archives about the Vietnam War in Vietnam
and around the world.
Additionally, Asselin was part of a delegation invited to
visit the facilities at Vietnam National Archives Center 1, in Hanoi. Asselin
will return to Hanoi in December and again in May 2017 to conduct further
research in support of his latest book project on the global Vietnam War.
