Bringing over 34 years of experience, Nick will be responsible for
directing the Advancement Services activities, which include gift acknowledgements, stewardship, gift entry and
accounting, matching gift, recurring gift, and pledge reminder processes.
Working collaboratively with his colleagues in University Relations, he will
lead efforts to provide dashboards and data related to private support of HPU.
Nick was director of Advancement Services for 11 years at St. John’s
College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He
served in that same role at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in California and worked
as a Director of Prospect Research at UCLA. His areas of expertise include
database administration; user training and support; gift processing, receipting
and auditing; customized alumni and donor report writing; computer programming
(SQL) and data analysis, data preparation and segmentation for fund-raising and
other development activities; donor/prospect research and tracking; and
biographical record maintenance.
“We are very fortunate that Nick decided to make Hawai‘i his home and join
our team at HPU,” said Sam Moku, Vice President for University Relations. “He
started July 1st and hit the ground running. Please join us in
welcoming Nick and his wife Keiko to the HPU ‘ohana.”
Nick’s son Kyle, a recent UH graduate, also resides on O‘ahu. His daughter
Sarah has a degree from New Mexico State University and works for Disney in
Orlando, Florida.
