Nursing faculty presents to Japanese hospital leaders

Nita Jane Carrington, Ed.D., Professor of Nursing, (fifth from left) presented her evidence-based practice research study on Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection conducted in four intensive care units. The Sept. 17 presentation was done for Japanese nursing leaders from the Seirei Hamamatsu General Hospital including Yumiko Katsuhara, RN, Ph.D., VP and Chief Nursing Officer, and Kiseko Okuda, Vice Director of Nursing.

The visit was coordinated by Cyndi Kitkowski, Nurse Educator of The Queen’s Medical Center (fourth from left). Carrington’s study is part of a research partnership grant with Queen’s, a magnet hospital.
