Save the date; Save the planet
HPU presents its first Sustainability Week at Aloha Tower Marketplace, Oct. 19-25. Find inspiration in presentations on issues like translating science into public policy, human-induced and natural climate change, and the future of fossil fuels. And don’t miss the Halloween FunFest (with a sustainability theme) on Friday, Oct. 23.


Petition to graduate due
For graduating students: All students who are completing their program requirements by the end of Fall/Winter 2015 must submit a PTG by Monday, Sept. 28. Students are required to submit a PTG whether or not they plan to participate in the commencement ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 17.  If a student submitted a PTG but did not receive a scanned copy of the PTG in their HPU email, they should contact the Registrar’s office at ptg@hpu.edu

Aloha Tower Marketplace (ATM) facility
The revitalized ATM offers many spaces for you to consider reserving as the venue for your next gathering. Go to Pipeline, under the @HPU tab, for ATM-related documents including ATM overview and facility use guidelines, space/room information, and the internal-use request form. 

Campus Recreation dance classes
Styles range from hip hop, R&B, modern, and more, and it's a great form of exercise, physically and mentally. Classes are taught by HPU students Roselle Bautista and Nicole Mendoza, experienced  dancers who were members of the HPU Dance Crew. Classes are every Monday 5 p.m.-6 p.m., LB, Penthouse. Vaughan Award for Poetry
The annual award celebrates local writers and the literary arts. This year's contest offers a $250 cash prize and publication in HPU's literary magazine Hawai‘i Pacific Review. Deadline: Dec. 30. More...

Student parking & shuttle schedule
Hawaii Loa:
Parking decals for vehicles and motorcycles or mopeds and a 10-day parking discount punch card available for purchase at the Bookstore. 
Aloha Tower:
Motorcycle or moped parking decals for Irwin Park available for purchase at the Bookstore. There is a secured area under the Aloha Tower Campus Eva Pavilion for about 20 mopeds; there is a parking fee for this area in addition to the cost of the parking decal.
