Mass Communication seniors Amanda Kowalski
and Mariah Castro, initiated the HPU chapter last year, enlisted a core of writers,
and have achieved official RSO registered student organization club status this
semester.

Campus as a place where I can write freely on topics I love and share it
with others who are able to relate or learn from my writing, which is really
rewarding for me,” claims Mariah Castro, Her
Campus President and Marketing Director.
Her Campus serves as a career
launching point for its team of college journalists. Since joining the Her
Campus Team, members have been offered jobs and internships with Glamour,
Vogue, Buzzfeed, Vanity Fair, Seventeen, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, People,
The Huffington Post, Teen Vogue, InStyle, Esquire, O magazine, MTV, The
Washington Post, Digitas, Ogilvy, and many more.
“Being the editor-in-chief I have developed many leadership skills that I would have never obtained if it wasn't for Her Campus,” shares Amanda Kowalski, Her Campus Editor-in-Chief. “ I love that it gives women in college the opportunity to empower other college women and gain real life work experience.
